Woohoo! With definitions like that, I could do a hit and run on some hapless pedestrian and get away with it. "Y'see, officer, my intention was merely to encourage 'im to learn to look before crossing the road. I was aware that it would break both his legs and maybe kill 'im, but causing those injuries wasn't my objective."
Maybe I could even sue the poor schmuck for denting my car...
