I feel old

I just finished going through some ten years worth of my stuff from my life here in Hawaii (including one year in California). And it only took two days, for about five or six hours per day. I've trimmed it to about four of those document boxes (well, four overflowing, overstuffed boxes), and four garbage bags of trash. Let's hope I don't get any ( Read more... )

I'm a sentimental pack rat too.

I was amazed at you for throwing away the ex-bf materials. But you regained some sense of 'normal human weakness' when you expressed regrets. Eeek, I know I still have some memorabilia from my first ex. Even though I whole-heartedly believe he's an ass. I understand about the poems... I still have those written just for me.

I know I threw some stuff out... but I'm pretty damn sure I've saved a bit.

*screwing up face* Dang, I wonder how much stuff I have from second relationship. That was a much longer relationship - but I feel like it has left less physical detritus. Odd. I can recall fond feelings for the second ex... but I have fewer romantic trophies. I guess it just wasn't that kind of relationship.

As for the current... yeeks, longest relationship - yet, I don't think I have as many trophies. Funny how these things work out.

It's extremely wise to take along your treasures. I left stuff behind when I moved out of my family's house. And I can't think what's been lost.

I should probably throw out more things. I'm getting better... moving will do that though.

I can't find my art portfolio. Isn't that horrible? I haven't even a solid clue as to where it would be.

Yeah, but I'm starting to regret more and more the stuff that I *did* throw out. I feel kinda sheepish. Also because I start thinking, I threw out such important stuff. The stuff that I'm keeping isn't really any more important, maybe I should throw it away too!

Hope you find your art portfolio....
