Life is crazy

I'm officially old.  Friends that I saw married a decade ago are now finalizing thier divorce.  I can't help but be sad.

Old - or experienced. This kind of experience is definitely one of the most dreary.

To be even gloomier.... you know when you *really* feel old? When friends your age die. That's even worse.

Er...sorry. That *was* gloomy. But I can understand this making you feel sad. But it is like a rite of passage. First you go to weddings among your peers and that's often how you see them again--then it's funerals.

And le divorce.

Yeah, I thought of you when I posted this. Like a parent losing a child. Some things just arent' *supposed* to happen.

But on a more positive note, friends of mine just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Good to know there's still some balance in the universe.
