I'm sitting alone here in my room, intending to revise for my exams, but I can't. I keep thinking about something that's been scaring me more and more as I grow older

I suggest you start journaling again. Write down what happens from day to day even if it starts out with "I got up and ate breakfast and went work'. Before long it will be 'I got up and ran a mile before breakfast and my crazy co-worker did this crazy thing..." and it will start to grow again.
I know how you feel because I've been there too but it can come back. It may not be exactly as it was before but then you aren't the person you were before either. You grow and change and so does the 'spark'. It might just be that your writing might come from a different place and go in a different direction from now on.
I found your entry very well written so you still have those abilities but yeah sometimes you just need a little inspiration. Music is my main source I have tons of stuff I have written but I've just been too lazy to actually type them up. But don't give up my friend and you do not have a average education I would kill for a chance to study abroad :P
Journalling is a great way to get your thoughts out there. I find it very therapeutic, even if I don't read back my entries very often.
What about taking up a new hobby? Read inspiring books or watch inspiring movies. Remember, you have the power to better yourself. The spark can become a flame once again *hugs*
I miss reading your LJ entries. Perhaps a lot of that has to do with the fact that you've just not been journaling for a long time now. Like any skill, writing gets rusty from disuse, and the inspiration or spark can be reignited and grow stronger as you get the 'rhythm' back again
