Fleischer would be proud. I know I am. This vignette is spot-on, both in character and in feel of the era. You've read my rantings about how the "pros" go about things today, so you know I don't say that lightly. Well done.

Oh, this is awesome! I love Lois's mix of affection, slight contempt, and self-promotion.

That Clark, with all his strength and speed, was declared 4-F because of a mistake on an eye exam, grated on the reporter's nerves.

That's right, doesn't he accidentally read the eye chart in the next room? ROFL. Clark as a patriot can be jarring to me, but I think you did a wonderful job of making him caring and humane at the same time.

The general image of the two of them leaning on the windowsill watching the crowds is perfect, I can so see the Fleischer Lois and Clark there.
