The dance has absolutely nothing to do with uniforms.

As it is, uniforms are only required for part of the week during school hours. You are free to wear whatever you would like the rest of the time, including at the dance.

That is just so we show up in tuxedos and dresses, not bathing suits or clothes that only belong in the "house of ill repute".
