Both, I guess -- I'll probably take a while to enjoy the feeling of actually being DONE and to concentrate on some RL stuff that needs attention, but I definitely want to write more Holmesfic. If only because pleased as I think I am with this, I don't know that I want epic rapefic to be my most significant contribution! I did have another one in the works, but I think it might have died for lack of attention, I'll have to poke it with a stick at some poitn and see if it twitches. And I see there's talk of a del.icious (?) file of unfilled prompts, I'll certainly look at that if/when it arrives.

It's finally over. *midway between regretful and satisfied sigh*. Funny, I sort of expected you were going to take us all the way there, but on reflection, you have laid the groundwork for the journey and our imagination is quite up to the task :-)

Thank you! I'm so glad you've stuck with it this long.

I worried/worry still that people would be disappointed that this didn't follow them all the way into the bedroom. But it didn't feel right to me to end with a sex scene. I thought we had to stay in the minor key, just with more hopeful lyrics.

Anyway, it's not the sex that's the HEA -- it's the hitting on the head with a dictionary!

(Also it's possible neither of them will have much time for writing for a while)

Thank you! I am proud, I think. Although Lord, I shudder to think at how long this has taken. And you know I once thought this would be about 4000 words? I just finally copied it all into one file and discovered it's OVER FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND. *headdesk* Stupid, demanding subject matter!
