Second round of gingerbread cookies are now baked -- second try went a lot more smoothly than the first, and I tried a few different things, and they worked well, so I'm going to make notes on the original recipe. But the house smells divine, and that's always good

Now I want gingerbread cookies. XD Actually, making ginger cookies of some sort might not be a bad idea for me, ginger calms the tummy and mine has been very unhappy. ^^;;

I'm really fond of my recipe -- it came from this little recipe book my mom bought for me at Colonial Williamsburg back when I was, like, eleven. I did find a bunch of tempting recipes over at the Food Network site, and some of them even used fresh ginger (mine does not).

I also have a box of ginger tea in the cupboard, but I doubt that'll help you. ^^;
