Second round of gingerbread cookies are now baked -- second try went a lot more smoothly than the first, and I tried a few different things, and they worked well, so I'm going to make notes on the original recipe. But the house smells divine, and that's always good

I'm really fond of my recipe -- it came from this little recipe book my mom bought for me at Colonial Williamsburg back when I was, like, eleven. I did find a bunch of tempting recipes over at the Food Network site, and some of them even used fresh ginger (mine does not).
I also have a box of ginger tea in the cupboard, but I doubt that'll help you. ^^;
