Yeeeah. It's kind of... I feel really bad for her, you know? She used to have this gorgeous, silky coat that was, no joke, teddy-bear soft. There's one vet tech at the clinic who's grown kind of attached to Bronte, and if she's on shift when Bronte has an appointment, she ALWAYS comes in to give her pets, because she's just so soft. (Bronte, not the tech.) It's really hard seeing her with all those little bald patches (and there are other patches you can't see in the pics, from all the other times she had blood taken). But she's bearing up quite well, all things considered. :)
And, yes, Darwin is an amazingly sweet dog. He was hovering over Bronte like a mother hen, and it was the damned sweetest thing I'd ever seen. Of course, I had to scold him eventually: "For the love of Mike, Darwin -- GIVE HER SOME ROOM." *cuddles her puppeh*
I knooow! Her coat has definitely seen better days. I hope it grows back quickly, too. We don't get much of a winter, but we do get a few chilly days that'll be particularly hard on bare kitty skin.
I'd get her a little sweater, but she'd probably just chew on it. ;)

Now that I got that out of my system, Darwin is such a freakin sweetie. What a good dog.

And Darwin's such a good boy. So watchful of his packmates. :)

It wasn't on her butt, though.
