help! (washing advice needed)

I washed some white clothing with a purple pair of pants today. Yes, I know, stupid - but I had put a "colour catcher" in the wash, and I thought the pants were colourfast. Unfortunately, they weren't, and the colour catcher got stuck in the washing machine door and thus couldn't work, so now I have some white clothing with splotches of purple, and ( Read more... )

Go to the supermarket and buy "Rit Colour Remover". Should be near the washing powders.

Don't delay and leave them soaking, don't let them dry out.

I CONCUR!!! It works well.

Unless you cooked said clothes in a pot of boiling water to set the inks.

They're baggy indian-style pants (i don't know what they're called) - the type you tie up with a drawstring at the top, they're purple and black, and probably hand-dyed - they're really nice, and incredibly light so they're good to wear around the house in summer :)
