Pause, stares at him, "We just had sex."
"I know, I was there."
"Shouldn’t that be a good clue?"
"Well, no, not really. There are guys that, you know, in playing the game and being around the guys, just do stuff, whatever. But then there are guys that are really gay."
"You see a difference?"
"Yeah. You don’t?"
"I never really thought about it. I guess I thought if you sleep with guys, you’re gay."
"Oh."
"You’re not gay?"
"No."
"But you sleep with guys?"
"Yeah."
"Uh huh. And that works in your head?"
"Yeah. It’s just how the sport is."
"Do you like it? Sleeping with guys, I mean."
"Yeah."
"Okay, so you enjoy it, but you’re not gay?"
"No."
"Okay." Goes to turn over, go to sleep.
