January was a month for renewing and reviewing goals and progress. I’ve had to adjust a couple of goals because they just weren’t working and I hadn’t committed to them the way I’d hoped.
Wow! You did a great job bringing that desk back to life! I am very impressed - it looks great!
You are making me feel like I should re-read the Wheel of Time series now - I never did finish it! I was reading as they came out, one per year - but every time a new book would come out, I would start the series from the beginning again to get refreshed (so many characters!).
Around book 6, I graduated college and suddenly reading ALL the books again before starting the new one, was too much - I actually think that I bought book 7 and never actually read it because I just couldn't face >5k pages before even getting to the new stuff :D And somehow, I didn't let myself just read the new book.
Now, of course, it's been 25 years and I would really have to start from the beginning again, to remind myself of what was happening - and I just haven't been able to get into book one :D
Oh my, I can see why it might be hard to get back into the books again, because they are so detailed and long! It would be impossible to remember it all without rereading.
I've read one chapter in Book 4 twice now and even made a genealogy tree timeline for the visions Rand sees in Rhuidean, just to understand what the heck is going on.
I realized quickly that these were books that demand to be read over and over, just to get everything out of them.
