Second - have you tried Stephen King's Dark Tower series? I know you said you weren't in the mood for him, but this series? omg. Amazing. I crushed all seven books in about four months about two years ago, and I'm already jonesing to read them again.

I actually thought Hunger Games was the best out of the tree - the third one got all strange...I haven't been reading any new books lately so sorry, no recs.

LOL I never started by the last book of a serie but I should do that someday :D

I just finished the 8 books of Pretty Little Liars but I am not really recommanding it because it is not great writing so :/ but I just had to know what happened :D
