My long observation of the situation in the local energy sector is going to the end. When in recent weeks there were opened several new power stations using wastes and biofuel as the primary source of fuel the next consequent step was straightforward: the heating prices goes down by 15% since March 1. There are no more dominat producer of energy nor the monopolistic supplier of fuel. And the prices are at the level unseen for more than 10 years.
The next chart shows the dynamics of heating prices since 2012 here: the blue line - the prices in 2012/2013, in red - prices in 2013/2014 while in green - the prices in 2014/2015. Nearly twofold drop down in heating prices in nearly three years. Quite impressive.
The driving force of the market economy is the competition. The competition makes miracles :)
