and so true to what Terminator could have been, a tragedy devoid of hope, with no visible path to the next cycle of the temporal causality loop...

How did you feel about writing this? Did you have a goal, an idea to convey or behavior, in humanity, that you wish to change?

I don't recall any particular feeling about this piece. Just exploring that feelings are not always the fluffy kind, and that passion that burns like fire, can indeed burn, consume.

Thanks. I should add that I thought it was very well written. I'll try Cogito Ergo Sum.

I can imagine an alternate ending for this, where Cameron is NOT destroyed, but stands in for a successful, but bored Skynet, after it exterminates all of humanity.

Sort of a "WTF did I go and do THAT for?" moment.

Or so I would hope.
