This is very, very simple.

Mercy's nose, even as a human is sharper than a normal human.

What will she smell when she comes across your character? In other words:

What does your character smell like?

Lemme know? Plzkthx

Dr. Daedalus generally smells vaguely of hospital antiseptics, talcum glove powder, with a small, subtle-sharp hint of vanilla-peppermint.

Replica Riku 'Joe' smells like an athletically active teenage boy who most of the time remembers to put on deodorant, plus an odd taint of Darkness, a too-sweet lick of energy drinks, and ...will also be smelling strongly of over-ripened pumpkin and shaving cream till mid-november.

uh she's cleaned up after being in a zombie apocalypse probably hasn't entirely gotten the smell of blood and puke and gross stuff ENTIRELY off her if Mercy's nose is that sensitive so Rochelle might smell faintly of that

Nagi Naoe (this journal) - rats (he owns 3), boring shampoo
Ken Amada (revengeslance) - Clean little boy. Nothing more
Kia WelBehenna (likesweiners) - Tobacco, puppy, wolf when he's been around Gabu, and usually sex

8D I like this permissions post.

Amy Sorel smells heavily of orchids, violets, irises and gardenia [I actually based it off Bath & Body Works' Enchanted Orchid]. She really wears her perfume strong out of habit carried over from the 16th century. It's an old-person/old world scent that doesn't seem to suit her age or her looks. But there's a sweetness to it that doesn't make it overwhelming. It's a rather pleasant scent.

Alice Nonomura, being a nurse, often smells kind of like hospital antiseptics from a close distance. She does her best not to smell too strongly of anything, though, if only because it's a general rule for patient safety. But there's a little hint of cherry in her scent. It's probably her chapstick.

8C I can't edit this, so I'll add just a little more here...

If Mercy's nose is really strong, she can probably pick out the notes of blood in Amy's scent amidst all those heavy flowers in her perfume. The notes of blood get a little stronger after she's made a fresh kill or after she's recently fed off someone.

Also, if she had recently fed on someone, her skin warms more and the scent of flowers on her skin seems to be more pronounced.

THE FEAR OF OTHERS-- No, the most predominant smell would be barn and straw, with traces of chemicals.
