Learned: If you leave a cactus in the sun and forget about it for several months it will be quite happy and even grow. This is not the case with cut bamboo, although in their defense they were in the kitchen, with little sun even if the sun was out.
Surviving bamboo have been moved nearer the cacti.
In other Dad's Apartment news, he keeps entreating me to eat things found in his fridge. I found a frappucino in his fridge. Had seemed to settle a bit, so kept shaking it. Things were stuck to the sides. I took the plastic off, failed to open it, and while finding my way to my apartment where I'd have additional means . . . found noted on the bottle, best taste before Jun 0401 At this point whether that refers to 2001 or 2004 is immaterial, and adds support to my usual habit of not following Dad's directions re rescuing things from his fridge, despite my own usual lax rules about food expiry.
Methinks I shall go directly to Wheaton once I re-dress from the recent shower and return sneakers some other time, but I suppose there's time for a poll: Poll elderly frappucino
