LBOs have a bad reputation. That is, to some degree, like MA drivers have a bad reputation. It doesn't inherently make driving in MA a bad idea.

Doesn't matter. I log into FB approximately never. I go there once in a while when someone/something really needs a "Like" or someone tags me directly. I'm sure you're familiar with all the FB evil so I won't bore you with that ( ... )

ahh. so okay, that was part of what I was missing -- I thought 'leveraged buyout' only referred to buying a company all but entirely with borrowed money and then paying oneself and leaving it to deal with the debt -> layoffs or fall over.
