PSA to the pet owners on my Flist - there’s a surgery/dental only place in Richmond called Helping Hands, which by doing nothing other than surgery and dental manages to offer these services at a fraction of the cost most animal hospitals would.

Thank you for posting that. As pet owners who cares a lot about the care of our pet, we never know what may come up. Kiah is healthy as any dog could be, but accidents happen, too.

Thanks from us, too. We have both routine care coverage for Willow, and an insurance plan that pays 80% of care for accidents/illnesses after a $100 deductible. However, neither of those covers genetic conditions, such as luxated patella, to which Chinese Cresteds are particularly subject. It's nice to know there are options in that situation.

yeah, i noticed that was on their standard pricelist for just under a grand, which implies it's a lot more elsewhere (although possibly not as much as I assume, as the dog for whom I was searching for info is my size, which rather increases anesthesia costs.)
