Does the door to your office have a large window in it too? keith_m043 September 24 2010, 14:01:45 UTC
The big boss of the company that I used to work for liked them and liked to show off to potential clients his shiny happy workers. My direct boss and I who shared the office believed in the the traditional programmers model, a dark hole where you throw raw data, pizza and jolt in and finished data comes out. We eventually filled in that window with printouts of our favorite webcomics a little bit at a time. >:)

Woah, that's really strange and creepy! It's one thing to organize for you as a 'surprise' (which I think is major boundary crossing, but heart in the right place and all that) but to be secretive about it? It's just creepy!

I'm rather weirded out about restacked papers. I already shoved a bunch of stuff in the file cabinet in an effort to straighten up, so that's difficult enough.

It could also be a negotiating tactic they're doing to employees to freak them out. Odd, but possible.

Sounds like cleaning staff/maintenance.

Ours is explicitly not supposed to touch our belongings while cleaning, but we've definitely had a few mysterious rearrangements, chair height adjustments, "straightening-up", and so forth.
