Yes, I know he's green in this icon. He has a diverse "wardrobe," what can I say? As promised in this post, here's a collection of DeviantArt links I made when I was thinking about this very thing just a couple weeks ago. Thanks to QW for her suggestions!

Here be links - please give the artists FB if you like )

It definitely looks good.

I wonder whether both Crowley and Aziraphale can and did adapt their skin colour to the place and time they were in, though. It's probably not the best thing to stick out too much when attempting to subtly influence people towards good or evil and just how much racism would Crowley put up with?

To my recollection, most if not all of Halobender's work gives Crowley darker skin. Pretty sure it's the sam for Bonnieslashfiend's.

And most of mine, when I bother to colour it. But we knew that. Actually, I tend to make Aziraphale so much paler than average, it's possible my Crowley isn't even as dark as other artists draw him.

I do have to say, I see Crowley in the early 90s in England, as white. I figure it's an issue of blending in and the majority of the English population is white. Sad to say, but he'd draw a lot of unwanted attention as a person of color in a designer suit. Especially if crimes tended to happen around him. He'd just have more clout as a white guy ( ... )
