With all of my Californian naivete, I envy you your great storm. We only ever get a touch of thunder-n-lightning once every few years, and never the technicolor skies.

My dirty little secret is, for all the paradisical climates I've visited and loved, I insist on living in a place that has all four seasons. And they should all be very much themselves. Summer is proving stubborn this year, and one of the best parts of it in Chicago is the storms - just spectacular sometimes. This one is proving anticlimactic, though.
