[ Coming from Adell, she's reminded of her ever serious conversation with Charlotte regarding him, and it puts a wrench in her initial response. So she takes a more general approach. ]

Happy Valentine's Day. It sounds like you have plans of your own.

And a Happy Valentine's to you too, Sylvia.

Eh, right now, I'm just looking to kill time. Though I do have plans later.

Thanks.

[ She's gotten more casual towards him, at any rate. ]

How much time?

[ Good question. She supposes she just wants to talk; even the most hardcore of fighters need to take a break now and then. ]

No, but it gives us enough to talk. That alone is good.

Glad to hear it. Some people never really do. All things considered, there are worse places we probably could've ended up.

For the most part it's quiet and peaceful. Lots of great people too. Not having to worry about money's really nice too. That I could get used to.

Well. The Malnosso themselves might have money. So they might get paid. They just shift in whatever they want and it's probably easy for them. As for people who work here in the village, they just... volunteer, I guess. No one makes anyone work, they just do it if they want to.

But is there a point in them having money? . . . Perhaps I'm thinking too much into this. I never gave it much thought before.

Maybe? I don't know. Dunno how Shifting works or how common it is outside of here. Not that it really matters for us, I guess.

Definitely prefer not having to worry about it.

[...Considering he grew up poor at home, but is now filthy, stinking rich after toppling an Overlord... Well. It just speaks that wealth's not a thing for him.]

[ She doesn't know, either, so she basically agrees with everything he says. She'd prefer not to worry about it when it doesn't really concern them, in a way. ]

Anyway, enjoy your lunch with those two.
