for reasons that do not need explaining at this juncture in time, i remain fucking amused by norad tracking santa clausat mitchell's family homestead for the duration. (expect userpic to be accurate today, right down to the time.) am being pressed into service as unpaid labor. It really should take into account that Santa comes on different days in different parts of the world. St. Nicolas was here on 18 days ago, and we're expecting the baby Jesus tomorrow. Grandfather Frost isn't expected south of here (in Serbia) till January 7th...

I wondered at her amazing progress! I'm sure she's thankful for your assistance, and you'll parlay that into future favours owed, which is always nice.

enjoy the holiday; hopefully you'll find a quiet place to escape the chaos on occasion. I hope everyone makes it to 4:00 without bloodshed - possibly the eggnog will help?

Norad tracking Santa just completely made my day. Off to wrap more present and pack; I go forth to survive the families in about four hours. Good luck there, and happy holidays to you both! (And if the world's easiest addictive party dip would help your survival, let me know and I'll give you the recipe here.)

Norad track Santa is a hoot and a half, yes!

I didn't even know about that until I did the NORAD tour with a group of OS/2 programmers back when OS/2 was still viable. The computer guys there said we were a nice change from the usual tour group - not one question was about "WarGames".
