I play Suou Tatsuya (vrooooooooom), Sonomura Maki (bemytruemind), Kihara Atsuro (otakuro), and Prince Leaf of Lenster (aheromade).
Concrit/OOC issues: You have possibly noticed my lack of a crit post. This is less a matter of me not wanting you to crit me ever and more because I take issue with how much the RP community these days focuses on everyone putting themselves out for it. If you do have an issue you want to talk to me about, I'm completely open to that, but it does mean you'll have to contact me by email, PM, or some other means.
Contact Methods: If I'm at my computer, I'll generally be on IRC under one of my character names (lately, it's usually been Leaf). I tend to lose track of mainchan pretty easily, but I do pay pretty good attention to #meganetensei -- or you can PM or ping me! I also hang around in #icanhascomp, though it is deader than a dead thing, and #axepaperscissors, which is usually dead but people should come make it not-dead.
If I'm at the computer I'm usually on AIM (terrorfortune), and if I'm not around, there's always email (melodyoflogic at gmail), though I'd suggest putting something descriptive in the subject line so I don't miss it. Grabbing me on IRC or AIM tends to be a better bet if I'm actually around, as I do lose track of things in my email alarmingly easily (I have this tendency to go "okay, I'll answer this later" and then forget it's there as it gets pushed down by new mail).
I do answer Gchat when pinged on it, but I'm not terribly fond of using it, so I'd rather talk by something else if it's feasible.
Time and scheduling issues: I live in CST, but I work nights at an often understaffed newspaper, so my schedule can be a little lulzy. Most days you can expect to see me in the afternoon to early evening, and then I'll disappear for a while and come back for maybe a couple hours at like...three in the morning. I usually go to bed at five or six am.
Cliques, jumping, thread-dropping, etc.: I probably look a lot cliquier than I mean to be with the Persona casts. I blame this partially on my own shyness as a player (I have a lot of those "oh no, should I jump them..." conversations with myself), and partially on my primary being such a quiet antisocial type that I worry I'm inflicting him on people who wouldn't be interested, so I tend to stay with the group I know best. okay, so Tatsuya kind of got booted out of primary status by Leaf. I'm still kind of shy about jumping new people but I'm getting better. orz
If I'm out? Jump me. Jump me hard. I will love you for it. I'm trying to get better about branching out, but I've been pretty low-energy lately and that just compounds my fail.
As for thread dropping: if you want to pick something up again, ping me and I'll probably be glad -- I try to keep tabs open until things feel finished, but sometimes I lose track. If I really feel like I'm having an impossible time with them on a certain thread I'll let you know, but in general I only keep around the characters whose voices are pretty easy to slip into, so fire away.
Comfort levels: I love dark shit! I love crack! I'm pretty much up for anything.
Apps and betaing: I'm trying not to app much because I seem to be pretty fail at keeping more than my couple of primaries active. You can probably top me into something if I love the canon, but there's a high chance I won't do a lot with the character and then I'll angst about being a horrible castmate and emo about it and -- yeah. :(
I'm not a very good beta, because I'm such an easy voter, but I am always happy to look over anything for one of my canons (or anything you know I'm gung ho about my love for), if you want it. I work double shifts every Friday, though, so if you want me for anything, you'll need to hit me up before the app period. I'm mostly just good for a read-through and my opinion on whether you've got the voice or not, though.
One massive exception canon here, though: Fire Emblem! If you are thinking of apping Fire Emblem, come let me touch you and I am happy to help you choose between characters, figure out app ideas, decide how to deal with plot holes, choose which way to go on translation issues, and so forth. I'm canon familiar on everything, and while I'm better with some of them than others, I'm also happy to canon refresh as needed to help you with the ones I haven't played in a while.
Essays: I enjoy blathering about my characters, I'm just bad at getting around to writing up most of the ones I have in mind. If you want me to ramble about something, ask and I will probably be happy to oblige! (Leaf in particular, I could probably write a goddamned book with my thoughts on FE4.)
Posting and memes: If I have time and energy I'm probably up for running something -- but I rarely have good post ideas. Co-posting works better for me overall, so if I'm around and you want to run one with me, ask and we'll talk. ♥
I tend to be bad about picking up threads on posts I've made, simply because when faced with a bunch of threads at once my inner reaction is "OH GOD D:" but if I'm around and you want to pick up, ping me and I'll probably be glad to.
AU-ing: lol I. I've never done it? I don't write good sexytimes so I wouldn't recommend asking me for that.
