We tend to think of data as a think out there is some sort of astral plane of pure information, or at least most people I talk to data about who are not geographers do. Data might have relationships, but those relationships are based on the data's inherent properties

I almost agree with you. Then again, the two good mexican places I found in New York City do not serve alcohol (one is nothing more than a lady selling tamales in front of the Mexican embassy, the other is just a food place.) :)

I still have not found good margaritas outside of my house.
