Tres, during his trek through the city had spotted what he assumed to be an abandoned car, and was prying the dented hood open with his hands. The probability that the battery was still functioning was less than 15% but it was the first vehicle he’d come across so he decided it could be beneficial to take a look.

Raito watched the man for a second. Just what was he trying to achieve by opening the engine hood?
He mentally shrugged and moved over. "Excuse me," he started, "I woke up in that building over there and I'm not exactly sure where I am. Would you mind helping me out?"

The hood of the car made a horrible SKREEE noise when he managed to get it open. He located the battery, and to his disappointment, found that it was completely dead. He turned to the young man and stared down at him for a moment before speaking.
“I am unable to relate to you the location of this city. I have not acquired that data yet.” he closed the hood of the car back up. “However, if you require assistance in other ways I may be able to help.”

"Awesome," he said, smiling slightly. "Then I hope you don't mind me asking a few more questions." He reached for the small apparatus he had put into his pocket earlier.
"I found this device a while ago. I believe it to be for communication of any sorts. However, I guess you need to input a certain code to get access to different areas. Do you happen to have found such a device as well?"

Ryuk mumbled to himself something about how he really will write Raito's name in his death note until Raito turned around suddenly.

Ryuk cocked his head to the side and muttered, "Raito? Do you want me to fly around and see if there's anything around us?"

L walked around the area, securing this general perimeter. So far, he hadn't seen anyone, but he knew the probability of such a large area, a city no less, being completely abandoned were extremely slim. At the very least, hobos? Were the people hiding, by any chance? Once again, unlikely.
He crunched through the snow for a while in some sort of an alleyway, admittedly getting a little cold, when he heard a human voice around a corner. He ran to the corner, thinking he might have even recognized that voice.

"I just found what I was looking for," he said in a low voice. "But take a look around nonetheless in case this person proves to be worthless."
He then walked forward until he stood next to person he just spotted in front of the vehicle.
