"Hoe?" Sakura shreaked, as she saw the person shoot out the front door of the apartment complex and land face first on the ground. "Are you alright?" she asked, gliding forwad with ease and stopping in front of the man. Rollerblading to school every day for years had its advantages, thought she never thought she'd need the skill when not wearing any form of skates.
"Really? Do you play sports back home?" Sakura asked as she got a little closer, not worried about falling down with him "I like sports to, but don't always have someone to play with"
"Yeah," Ken told her, feeling rather proud of himself. "I mainly play soccer. I really love it, and I'm pretty good." Good enough to play professionally, but that was something Ken wouldn't bring up. He didn't enjoy remembering why he wasn't playing in the J League anymore.
"Oh really!" she clapped her hands together, smiling "That sounds wonderful, I'm not very used to soccer, but I'd love to learn!" Her small hands curled into fists of determination "Can you teach me sometime? I learn really fast!" There was hope and excitement shinning in her large green eyes as she looked at him, awaiting an answer.
Ken was rather surprised by her response, but his surprise quickly changed to a small smile. "Sure, I'll teach you. I've got a ball in my room that I use to practice all the time. Teaching you would give me something to do." He'd certainly like to actually have a challenge when playing, but one couldn't hope for everything.
Sakura grinned "I'll try my best!" she said, determination still shinning in her eyes "And if there is anything you'd like to learn that I can do I can teach you!"
Her excitement deflated a little as she thought about it. "But I'm not sure if there is anything I can teach you to play..."
"It's fine," he told her happily. "You don't need to teach me anything. It's not like teaching you is inconvenient or anything. I don't have anything better to do here."
"Oh, but I want to thank you in some way..." Sakura tapped her finger to her chin as she thought about it. Her eyes looked upward and then she had it "I'll make you something! I'm getting really good at cooking all sorts of things!"
Ken was rather surprised by her suggestion, but he wouldn't argue. "Sounds good to me. I've been living off cafe food for awhile." He certainly wouldn't pass up a good meal.
