Riff entered the room quietly as he did every morning; with a tea and breakfast laden tray. Though today it seemed that his master was already awake, and in some sort of distress. Riff set down the tray on a nearby nightstand and moved to stand by the bed.
"Is everything alright, lord Cain?" He asked gently, frowning at the figure that had buried itself deep in the pillows. This was rather uncharacteristic of Cain, especially the strange noises.
Haruhi stopped moving the moment she heard someone speak to her, still feeling a little frightened she slowly peaked out from under the blankets at the man. "What did..." there was gonna be more to the question, but if she heard correctly even her voice sounded strange.
Lord Cain? she wondered as she tried to run through all the information she had gotten in the last few seconds. Boy's body, boy's voice, boy's name, and not even in my own bedroom. What's going on? If she had not been so confused she would be extremely excited.
The tall man looked down at him with concern in his eyes and began running through explanations in his mind. Has Cain had a particularly jarring dream? A fever? Perhaps he just needed some time.
After a few moments of silent contemplation he moved to where he had set down the tea, poured a cup, and offered it to the young man.
Haruhi kept her mouth sealed as she looked up at the man, carefully tightening the sheets around her chest, even though she had no cleavage to hide. Slowly she sat up, realizing she was a bit taller as a boy, because of where she could see her feet sticking up under the blankets.
With slightly shaking hands she took the cup of tea that was offered to her and thought about what the other man looked like. The man seemed nice, if anything he was worried about her, and he called her Cain, so she was assuming that is who she must look like. How she had gotten to look like this Cain she could not figure out.
"Thank you." she whispered, sniffing the tea before she took a very small sip of it. Her eyes grew wide as she tasted it. "It's really good." she smiled up at him, feeling a little more comfortable. If it had been poisoned she expected it not to taste like this at all, not that she knew much about poisoning to begin with.
Cain had woken and been rather disturbed to say the least realizing- 1} He was not in his room. 2} He was not in his own body. 3} He was /a/ girl.
He had slipped from the bed moving to find clothing before he stared at what was available. This was entirely unacceptable for him to even think of wearing. He poked his head out the door and stared, realizing he was at the hotel before he ducked back inside. Little hope of keeping this secret and he knew Crehador lived here of all people.
"....Riff you better be bringing me suitable clothing when you find out what has happened"
She had seen it, the hotel, and it felt like the fire of adventure was burning bright within her again so she took off running "Let's go! I can practically feel my body is waiting inside."
Cain's body may not have been as athletically inclined as hers, but she was pushing it and it was going to for her damn it! As she charged through the lobby she made a left at the elevators and shot all the way down the first floors hall to go up the emergency staircase and exite by the ice machine on the second floor where she turned left once more and TADA! Her door! It was right across from the vending machine with perpetual free drinks.
Not even bothering to worry it was locked she threw the door open, and yelled "AHA! FOUND ME!" pointing in a very triumphant way at her body.
Riff could see that her excitement was building, but he hadn't expected her to bolt away from him at a speed which he didn't think Cain capable of. He took off running after her; mildly paniced by the fact that if he lost sight of her he would have no idea what room to look for to find either her or Cain. Luckily though, his long legs worked to his advantage and he was able to keep up enough to see which corners she turned at. He arrived at the door only a few moments after she did, and peered in over her shoulder while catching his breath.
Cain stared at himself for a moment before he went pale realizing what was actually going on. His fingers gripped the doorframe before he moved to let them inside. "...This is not acceptable at all." His...no her voice held an edge to it before he glanced up at Riff.
