Who: Cain and Oscar What: Oscar and Cain both headed for Emmeline's mansion when they first meet from opposite directions. When: Morning Where: Near Emmeline's mansion on the streets. Rating: PG
Cain had been making his way back to Emmeline after taking the night to calm down. The last thing he wanted to do was upset her with his mental state after the meeting with Riff the previous evening. He paused outside the house and half turned to look back the direction he'd come.
It was damned odd that he was the only one who seemed to know things had ended but it seemed like a normal occurrence to the others he'd met here. It made things more difficult for him, since while he knew how things turned out, he still didn't know whether telling them about it would be of any use.
His eyes instantly widened and the cigarette slipping from between his lips, Oscar stood there in disbelief until he had to quickly react to the fire that was about to burn him. "Ow ow ow, bloody...!" He muttered and with the shock from the pain, he realized that he wasn't dreaming in the least bit. He rubbed his eyes once before confirming it.
It was indeed the Earl standing right before him just as he had imagined. As thin as ever and that slender neckline... how could he forget. He hurried a little to get closer and abruptly stopped when he was a few feet away. Oscar took a big gulp of air as he spoke with uncertainty.
Cain turned at the familiar voice before offering the slightest smile to Oscar. Emmeline had mentioned he was here, but Cain hadn't realized they'd meet so soon.
"..Oscar." He was going to say more but since he wasn't sure how much Oscar knew, he opted to leave it at just that.
That voice... it was definitely him. The atmosphere that they were creating was incredibly heavy though. These gloomy meetings really didn't fit for someone like himself. So he placed a bright smile on his face and opened his arms wide.
"Dear brother~~~! To think I'd be able to see you here again! Now now, there's no need to be shy~ fly into these bosoms of mine~!"
