Who: Akito and Yuuko What: getting to know each other When: after a thread in Akito's journal here. Where: a small restaurant not too far from the Sohma house Rating: unlikely to be above PG
She made her way in silence Mokona sitting upon her shoulder singing a happy little song it had learned once from the other Mokona
"Swing Swing Like a balloon!" it giggled.
"Mokona, I might have to tell you to go to sleep when we get there." she warned it, red eyes showed amusment at his song. "okay!" it said, saluting and going back to it's song.
From the window of the restaurant she could see Akito, a smile spread over the witch's lips, as she stepped inside and practically glided over to the woman.
"Hello." she said, bowing her head to her, Mokona doing the same from her shoulder.
The woman, Akito had been expecting - the strange rabbit-like creature perched on Yuuko's shoulder she most certainly had not. Eyes widening, she managed a "Hello" in return, and then demanded, "What is that? Was it necessary to... bring it?" She had expected a dignified meeting, not one interrupted by this... strange animal.
Having said that, Yuuko herself seemed to be dignified despite the creature. So elegant... and long, dark hair - just like that person she despised... However, it would be illogical to begin by hating this woman simply because of that. And she had knowledge of the Sohmas - knowledge that Akito wanted to know how she had acquired. Diplomacy would be needed for that, not arrogance.
"Mokona is Mokona, not a that!" it said, sounding hurt. "Mokona lives with Yuuko, Miss. Yuuko went out Mokona went with her."
"Mokona will be falling asleep. I needed to keep him with me in case something happened to my other tenants." she said simply. "Mokona, please go to sleep"
The creature nodded and closed it's eyes, sliding down to her arms where she placed him in one of the ruffles of her dress.
Her sharp red eyes caught the look of dislike Akito took to her appearance. Before even trying to sit down she pulled the rest of her hair up into a series of loops that she pulled up with the pins she had already been wearing.
"Is that better?" she asked the woman, a calm smile still on her lips.
Tenants? So Yuuko did more than sell wishes. As long as she kept the creature - Mokona - silent, Akito would not object. And she had noticed the abrubt way it had fallen asleep as soon as it was asked. It certainly seemed to obey her.
She didn't like that Yuuko had noticed her disdain of the other woman's appearance. That wasn't something she wanted known; it was a weakness, almost - although perhaps that was too strong a word. And Yuuko tying her hair back only emphasised this. But the woman was making an effort for her to feel comfortable, Akito noted - or she was purposefully drawing attention to Akito's discomfort. Whichever it was, maybe she'd find out the woman's motives later. Although already Akito was getting the impression that Yuuko would not give away motives, or any kind of secret, lightly.
She nodded curtly in response to the question, and wanting to move the conversation on, she waved a hand impatiently at the opposite chair. "Do sit down."
