Nephry didn't move from the park. She didn't know whether to believe the strange man or not. He could be tricking her into believing he was her older brother, but then again, he did remind her of Jade. Him being an adult would be impossible, unless he performed some kind of aging magic on himself, or if this really was a magical land like in the stories she read with the professor.

But then, why was she here? Was she chosen to protect this world, or was it a coincidence? All she knew was that she wasn't in Keterburg anymore, since the park lacked snow. Hearing footsteps, Nephry glanced behind her and looked up at the strange man she was talking to before. She held her doll close to her and stared at him. She didn't have to tell him anything. She simply observed.

Jade gave her a few moments, once he’d drawn near enough, to simply watch him, undoubtedly weighing in her mind whether or not to believe this unfamiliar person, and how it might be true that this was her brother.

When a suitable amount of time had passed, the fonist took a knee beside the girl, to be more precisely at her level. Nephry's poor doll was having the very life clutched out of her stitching, and to make her comfortable in conversation beforehand, Jade pointed at it's woolen body. "Gentle, or you may break her again."

Nephry glanced at her doll and back at the man who claimed was her brother. Yes, her doll had broke once, but her brother fixed her. How did he know that? Who knew? He did resemble him in many ways, like his hair and eye color. Though, it was her brother himself who told her not to trust anybody. Staring, she continued to stay quiet.

Obviously, this still didn’t qualify as enough proof. Jade admitted, inwardly, that he was quite pleased with Nephry’s behaviour. If not for the current circumstance, the idea that a twenty-someodd year older version of her sibling would be approaching her was both ridiculous and unreasonable. That she was cautious was a nod in the right direction. Many of the younger ones who had appeared here, thus far, leapt naturally into the role of attaching themselves to whatever adult showed up at their side first. Some had paid very dearly, and inappropriately, for that trusting nature.

Nephry showed both a healthy concern and a safe dosage of suspicion. Jade was rather proud of her constitution, and it came off in a slight half smile that appeared on his lips as he reached up to remove his glasses. That, at least, would make him slightly more recognizable.

"Would you like to quiz me? I won't be taking you anywhere until you're convinced of who I am."
