As he sat on a couch in the living room waiting for Akito to come downstairs, Shigure idly

Akito had barely left the house since she had arrived there some months ago. It wasn't that she disliked the outside; she simply hadn't had a reason to leave. Here there was no business to see to, no requirements upon her... it had been easy to keep to the house. And she hadn't wanted to go out by herself. The few times she had left, she'd generally had meetings with strangers that had not gone in her favour. But now Shigure had offered to show her more of the city and she found that she was quite intrigued by it. Besides, she had been feeling more and more irritated at remaining inside.

Shigure was waiting for her as she entered the room. It had not taken Akito long to get ready, she had simply dressed in masculine clothing as she always did; but she had waited a while before coming downstairs to meet Shigure. She found herself feeling - not shy, that was ridiculous - but a little apprehensive. This situation would never have happened back in their own world

Oh my. She was glaring at him. Was she that nervous? It was cute, in a sweet sort of way. When he had first arrived here, he had had no idea of the opportunities this world would offer. At home, this wouldn't happen - not for some time, at least. Shigure held out some hope that it might occur eventually.

He rose lazily and stood, pocketing the device. She was in masculine clothes as usual. They very nearly matched, as he had discarded his usual yukata for Western clothing. "Let's go, then." A compliment wouldn't have been out of place, but he'd wait for that. If she wanted to be gruff, he'd be the same.

Stepping towards the door, he opened it and waited for her.

Shigure seemed completely at ease. She hadn't expected anything else, really. Following him to the door, she hesitated a moment before stepping outside. As she turned to wait for him, she wondered where they were going to go. She didn't really know what the city was like. She had been a short distance from the house before, to a nearby park; and although she had been much further away from the house one other time, it had been dark.

The street didn't look too different in either direction. Akito glanced at it and then turned back to Shigure. "Which way are we going?" She wanted to make talk; to prevent there from being a silence. If there was silence she would wonder what Shigure was thinking.

Now, Shigure had a definite plan of action. He knew where he could take Akito, and where he might take her, but he wanted to make her choose. He'd let her decide and let her lead for a bit. "You decide." He replied laconically. This amused him.

The door had been shut behind her. Now they had only to go. Shigure doubted she would pick a specific place. Akito didn't know much of this world, and he was content with allowing her to pick a direction. The city was familiar to him after so many months here, and wherever she decided to go, he'd find something for them to do.
