Pride sat on a bench waiting patiently for his new friend Karin to arrive. He'd been sure to buy alot of bread today and was going to make sure he broke it into peices this time...he'd almost killed the ducks by

Karin sighed with relief as she neared the pond. She was a little late, but not without reason, of course. In a small, cute messanger bag she carried two neatly wrapped bento lunches and drinks she had rushed to prepare for herself and Edward. Absent-mindedly, she toyed with the bandage wrapped around her index finger; apparently she was not the most graceful person when she was pressed for time. Regardless, Karin was happy to have accomplished the task and be out of the house again while her blood pressure was normal.

"Edward-san!" She smiled happily and waved to him as she approached. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long!"

Pride smiled "It's alright I haven't been here long"

He lifted a plastic bag to show Karin. It has bread in it and a few sweet treats that he'd bought, he'd never heard of such sweets before but he thought it'd be something Karin might enjoy.

"I brought loads of bread for the ducks, I also bought us some sweets"

"Mm, I brought something for us too, actually!" Karin said as she took a seat on the bench next to him. She opened the clasp of her messanger bag, revealing the two bento lunches sitting inside. "I... didn't know how hungry you were and I had quite a bit of extra vegetables and things at home, so I whipped these up-" the young daywalker paused, perking when she recognized one of the treats he presented to her. "Oh! I didn't know there was a bakery like that here.. those look very tasty!"

Pride smiled at the other, the bento boxes looked wonderful. He'd learnt something new about Karin, she made nice looking food. "It looks wonderful, thank you so much, Karin" he replied with a slight blush and smile.

He blinked as Karin recognized one of the treats, he was pleased that she knew what it was. "I'm glad you like them, I wasn't really sure what they were" he said "Please help yourself"

Karin smiled an nodded between a biteful. "Mm, and the bean is really good for you!" As she talked, a crumb fell from between her fingertips to the grass, only to be spotted by a wandering duck nearby. She nearly jumped as it brushed against her leg in its hurry to snatch up the food.

"Ah! W-wow, it's really hungry.." Karin murmured, sweatbeading as the duck looked at the both of them expectantly.

Pride smiled gently as the ducks came in for feeding. They were probably used to someone coming down and feeding them often. He took out a loaf of bread from the bag and spilt it up into bite sized peices. He handed some to Karin.

"Here, this is what they want" he told her with a smile

"Oh wow, I didn't know they'd come right up to people..." Karin murmured as she accepted the bread he gave to her. "Or do they recognise you?" she added with a giggle. Breaking some bread into the palm of her hand, she hesitantly reached out towards one of the ducks, curious if it would accept food from her hand.

"They come really close..." Pride replied with a relaxed smile as he feed the ducks, this was one of his favourite places to come to relax. "They might recognise me, I come here often enough" he replied with a grin

He watched Karin holding out the bread in her hand for the ducks, he smiled softly "Make sure they don't accidently nip your fingers, Karin"
