Who: Rikku and Chocobo!Zell What: Saving him from his apartment? And then hugging of the cute Chocobo ^^;;; When: After Zell changes and Rikku talks to him Where: Zell’s apartment Rating: PG
Suffling sounds could be heard as chocobo!Zell clamored his way towards the door, the key to his lock clutched firmly in his little beak. Just as he was about to to reach it, however, one of his talons snagged the carpet, and the chocobo fell flat on his face with a resounding "kweh!". Puffing his feathers irritably, Zell nudged the fallen key under the door.
"Rikku! Here, take this!" He chirped, still feeling awkward that he could talk in such a state.
Rikku squealed and picked up the key. She put it in, turned it, and heard the door click. She wasn’t sure which way the door would open. “Uhm! Watch out! I’m opening the door now!” she yelled. It opened inwards, so she did it slowly, in case he was still behind the door.
Rising awkwardly to his feet, Zell struggled with the carpet before finally breaking himself free. He tittered backwards a little, but was fortunate to regain his composure without stepping all over his oversized chocobo feet.
By the time Rikku laid eyes on him, Zell was a fluffball of annoyance, his feathers raised and sticking every which way. Feathers were on his bed, on the countertop, all over the place, really. He really had one heckuva morning....
Rikku blinked. Noting that there were feathers everywhere, she took everything in. It was a few minutes before her mind really registered what she saw. “C-Chocobo…..feathers…” She looked at Zell again, took a deep breath, and squealed. “OH MY GOSH! YOU’RE SO CUTE!!!”
She panted slightly after she yelled that, hoping she hadn’t scared him too much. “S-sorry… but… I couldn’t help it?”
Zell made short work of the greens she'd offered and hardly minded the petting at all. Glancing back at his livingroom, he eyed the mess skeptically. "Ah, well.. it's okay Riku, you've done a lot for me as it is!" That and, well, his room was a wreck. And being the neat freak that he secretly was, he'd about die if she saw the state it was in.
Rikku frowned a bit. “A-Alright.” She stood up, truing towards the door. “I guess if you don’t need me anymore, I’ll leave. I’ve probably been really annoying, haven’t I?” She laughed nervously. “I’ll see if I can find anymore greens around.”
Zell fidgeted guiltily as the girl got up to leave. Dammit, he always did this whenever she'd offered to help. In a way, it probably did seem like he was trying to push her away...
"Rikku, wait!" He clamored a few steps after her, then stopped. "I don't think you're annoying at all! And I'd... like to come with you, really, I mean if that's okay--"
Rikku blinked, then smiled gently. “Thanks.” She started towards the door again. “It would probably be better that you do. You’ll be able to smell them, right~?”

"...Hey." He sort of half-smiled, meekly.
