(( OOC: Hope you don't mind.. this thread looked a little lonely and everyone loves Dark~ ♥ ))

Kaoru got bored of staying in the hotel and went out for a walk. He decided to walk around the park and explore, as a lot of his new friends had woken up there. When he turned around one of the trees and kicked a few snow piles, he noticed a tall man a few feet away.

'He looks a little weird...' he thought, crouching behind the tree to study him. He couldn't see from the moonlight, but he had darkly colored hair and.. some wings? Kaoru smiled and found a stick buried in the snow, picking it up and snapping in half. He looked up and waited for the person to react.

Dark suddenly perked up, his wings flinching also in response, accompanied by a sharp intake of breath. His eyes narrowed sharply as he looked around. Then again... maybe, just maybe, it was Daisuke. Then again it could be that bastard Krad or Satoshi. He had to be kept on his toes since he wasn't with Daisuke, at least currently.

He turned and called out. "Who's there?!"

Kaoru made his giggle audible, coming out from behind the tree.

"It's just me!" he called out, waving his hand. He was hoping that even in the darkness of the night that the overhead lights lit up the sidewalk enough. Kaoru walked up to the man and had to slightly look up, seeing as how he was so tall. He tilted his body to the side to look around the man, staring at the rather large wings.

"Hey, are those real?" he asked, reaching his hand out to touch a few feathers.

Dark blinked. It was... only a boy. He sighed and slumped his shoulders visibly with a heavy sigh.

"Don't scare me like that!" the Phantom Thief muttered before he raised his eyebrows high on his forehead as he watched the boy reach out for his wings. He.. didn't seem so dangerous, or prove to be a threat. He willingly came out to see him... So in Dark's eyes he was not a threat.

His wing gave a soft flinch at the boys fingers but otherwise he didn't move.

"Yes they are real."
