Feeling the door he just open collide with something that most definitely was not a wall, Murata blinked and peeked around the side. "Oh! Sorry about that! You ok?!"

"... 'm okay!"

He was, really. A little dazed, but that was nothing new. A frown crossed Ren's face as he glanced over the door, however. There was a dent in it now, cracks running away from it in angry little patterns at approximately the height of his head.

"Sorry about your door, mister," the boy muttered lamely, rubbing at his forehead and glancing around for the kitten he'd been chasing.

"Hmm? Oh, don't worry about the door. It's not mine," Murata replied cheerfully, stepping out and closing the door behind him. He cocked his side to the head curiously when he noticed the other boy's divided attention. "Looking for something?"

"Ye..... kitty!" Ren explained easily, nearly banging into the other young man as he spotted the ball of fluff again halfway down the block. He managed to flail through the process of getting around the other, ending up with one hand clamped down on the other's arm so that he was dragging the stranger down the street with him.
