Sasuke slowly walked down the desolate city streets until he came upon a vacant apartment building. Surely this was the place Sakura had messaged him via communication device about. It had to be.

He remained silent as he approached the group, wondering what would happen next. In all honesty, he didn't want to be there in the first place, but he needed to avoid contact with Itachi.

Sakura caught sight of Sasuke and brightened considerably. She dodged out the door to stand next to him, though her cheer dimmed as she noticed he was alone, "You didn't come across Naruto? What's he think he's doing running off by himself at a time like this?"

Sasuke looked up at Sakura, his hands remaining in his pockets. "Naruto...?" he questioned in a melancholy manner. "No, I haven't heard from him." He couldn't help but wonder if the Akatsuki was involved in Naruto's sudden disappearance. Itachi's presence in this world was a proven fact, so what about the other members of his criminal organization? Deciding he wanted to mention the idea to Tsunade before the others, he hoped that she would snap out of her current state of mind soon.

Sasuke then entered the bulding, making his way to the back wall to contemplate his idea.

Sakura bit her lip as she followed him back in. Normally she'd join him against the wall and try to make small talk, but this wasn't a normal situation and she was honestly starting to worry about their missing idiot teammate. What with Tsunade losing her memories and the unpredictability of this place....

One thing at a time, she reminded herself. She turned back to the group around Shikamaru in time to see the keys.

Tenten stepped inside and looked around. It wasn't as raggety as she thought. It was good enough to survive in.

"So this is where we're going to stay?" Tenten asked.

Hinata stepped inside also and stood behind Tenten. "I guess..." She answered. As she looked around her mind began to wander. Hinata then began to blush.

"Hey, at least it's warm," Shikamaru wandered over to the front desk and looked around it before finding what he was looking for. He flipped open the lid of a box and dumped out a tangled mess of room keys. "Plenty of room too."

Sakura walked up and began pulling keys out of the box. Locks really were useless against shinobi, but having the keys handy just made everything easier. "Should we contact Tsunade-sam-" Sakura grimaced and corrected herself, "Tsunade-san and Jiraiya-san first or should we settle in a bit?"

Despite the fact that a decent amount of time has passed since the thought came to him, Sasuke was unable to free his mind of it. He remembered how Akatsuki had their eye on Naruto. His disappearance seemed extremely suspicious and Itachi's presence was not helping to ease his mind. Orochimaru was there as well, but he didn't seem to be as big of a threat. Still, Sasuke chose not to completely disregard the possibility.

"What are they planning?" he said quietly, more to himself than anyone else. Moments later, he walked up to his fellow genin in order to suggest an idea. He doubted the usefulness of Sakura and Hinata, though Shikamaru was a brilliant strategist.

"Something is happening... We should try to find Jiraiya and the Hokage."

"Something's happening?" Sakura looked up from trying to pry two especially stubborn keys apart. Checking the lobby was automatic, though she knew that whatever Sasuke was speaking about wasn't close. "What is it?"

Tenten, who had been watching Sakura tug at the keys, was half listening to everthing the other people in the lobby were saying. But when the converstion shifted to the Hokage and Jiraiya, she was curious to hear what Sasuke was talikng about.

"What are you talking about?" Tenten asked Sasuke.

"Tsunade-sama is with Jiraiya-san right now," Shikamaru said from his slump over the desk. He glanced at the communicator briefly, no new messages. "Whatever happened to her seems to have effected him now."

"They've got Naruto with them," He adressed his last comment to Sasuke and Sakura.
