Parents of Preemies have different milestones than parents of full-term babies.  We reached one of those milestones early Monday morning.  Tauna and I got to hold Xerxes for the first time. (Previously we'd only lifted him briefly inside the isolette to change his sheets ( Read more... )

Ive been keeping up on your posts with the baby here and there, Im glad to hear that you guys are finally getting to do normal baby/parent stuff with the kiddo. Voron as daddy is still something I can't wrap my head around, but hell, why not?

I went to siz flags in NJ last week myself, and went on King Da Ka, which Im not sure what they call it at your SF. Its like 450 feet tall, shoots you 0 to 120 in 3 seconds, ride lasts maybe 10 seconds. Uber intense. Superman ride was weird, kinda freaky strapped into a harness and little else between you and sudden death. Best ride was El Toro, a super fast brand new banked wooden coaster. SICK Ride.

Anyhow, maybe I'll catch you guys at Friendsgiving

What a wonderful description that was; thank you for sharing! I'm so glad to hear that he continues to improve. BTW, did y'all get the flowers I sent for his 6 week b-day?

OMG yes! Thank you SOOOO much! They were absolutely gorgeous! First the beautiful irises opened up in their purple and golden beauty, and then, when they started to fade, the huge, yellow Star-Shaped ones (don't remember their name) came into full bloom! They lasted quite a while.
This is very embarassing, because I keep meaning to meaning to email you to thank you properly, but I was so busy with things and then our internet went out at home (when I saw them and remembered) and then work got crazy -- I've barely been able to keep up with the updates (and the fam keeps on top of me for that!)

It was a very wonderful, and unexpected surprise! Thank you again!

Tauna....what a wonderful woman you have. That was truly brave for her.

I'm so glad Xerxes is getting hugs and I'm glad for you and Tauna too.
