Ever seen them live? I saw an amazing show at the Mid East downstairs like 4 years ago where they played only covers for the entire night with stories about many of the songs. The main woman also toured with Nirvana and Manson.

After telling a Kurt Cobain story she kicked into wish you were here. It was amazing.

It also sort of ruined them live for me since every time since then hasn't been quite as awesome as that night.

I've actually seen them live 3 different time but missed them the last time they came around. I go to see them as often as humanly possible. They're amazing and fun.

Yeah, I missed the last time too.

In fact they and the faint were playing that night, but I was too busy having an total emotional breakdown to leave the house. It was pretty pathetic.

It's not pathetic, hun. It happens to everyone. I have many emotional breakdowns, my most frequent being about 3 days ago because of my medication bullshit. Sometimes you need to just let it all out to move forward in any capacity.

I was busy seeing the Faint for free thanks to Phil. If it hadn't been that one show was free and the other wasn't I would have seen Rasputina. But, that being said, I had an amazing time that night in general, so all was not lost.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rasputina and that rendition was pretty, but I feel like the parts of that song that usually really tug at my heart strings were missing.

Maybe that's just my bias, though. The original is one of my favorite songs, ever (and that's saying a lot since I almost never say anything's my favorite!).
