MS sucks and so does insurance

My friend Sabrina has MS and it's definitely NOT in remission. And she has a $7500 deductible. And her treatments are over $4000 each. She needs them to stop the progression of her disease. She needs her meds so she can cope with the day to day pain and depression of living with MS. These meds are $216 a month. This sucks rocks. She needs help. It ( Read more... )

Is there anything we can do to help her get better insurance or a backup/secondary insurance plan, too? That is sometimes the only way some of my friends with MS can manage.

She already has private insurance that she can barely afford. I doubt she would be approved for secondary coverage with her current health. Most of the people who have secondary insurance have a spouse who provides that through a group where they cannot deny you.
