Comment with the words "Top Ten" or "Top Five", and I will reply with a subject for which you will generate a top ten (or top five) list. Post the list and these instructions in your own journal, if you want to.

I knew I should have put that sentence in quotation marks. 8-)
Actually meant it to be about sanity-retainers for you.

Nonetheless, good list. Thanks :-)

Good choices. Count me in. 8-)
I am already looking forward to discussing culture with her majesty over a slice of your famous Jaffa Cake Cake.
That is, until Bill Bailey starts making a spectacle of himself. As he is bound to.

Ten words or phrases that are criminally underused. (words/phrases in Welsh, Latin etc. are totally aceptable, though I'd like an explanation in English please. ;-)

Excellent! Definitely worth the wait. :-) von_geisterhand March 26 2007, 16:10:05 UTC
10. Ah, yes! A classic.
8. And I wonder why that appeals to you. ;-)
7. *squelch!* Indeed.
6. That's a bit Lovecraft. I like it.
3. Reminds me of "gebenedeit", which is an oldfashioned german term for "blessed", usually used for the (supposed) Virgin Mary, but occasionally also for other female saints.
2. Oh, the images....

Thank you. Danke. Diolch.

Just five phrases that either you catch yourself overusing or that you hear people around you (or in the media) use constantly that make you go:
"Actually, if I never hear that phrase again, I don't think my life would be that much poorer."
