Shockingly, the person who is biggest into storytelling didn't like the episodic nature of the modules, and Organized Play is probably not for him. I got one table who felt I didn't really cater to the group's playstyle (a statement I ( Read more... )

I am interested, though naturally I have no idea what this system entails.

As for timing, all of July is completely booked for me, so I'd vote August.

Paperwork wise, it's very similar to the 4th Edition thing we did. Currently, it uses the 3.5 rules, which I think you've played at least a little of. The Pathfinder RPG is based off of 3.5...if you know how to play that, you know how to play PRPG. Probably better than some of us fogies who have the 3.5 rules memorized, because you won't get tripped up on how you expect a certain thing to work that got fiddled slightly.

This weekly, monthly, daily, bi-annual, hourly, continuous? I like Paizo and the Pathfinder stuff, but have no idea what you're talking about otherwise.

So, anyway, if it's a weekly game you're asking about I'd be interested in playing as long as everyone understands that when 10pm hits I will be leaving. If that's not unreasonable count me in.

I'm not talking about a campaign. Pathfinder Society is similar to the Living Forgotten Realms things...they're little mini-adventures intended to be run in a 4-hour block at a gaming convention.

Most likely, it would be a periodic weekend thing. There's no continuity--whoever shows up, plays.

Does that explain it any better?
