While i love the thrust of the article. People getting down on Santa for being "Pagan" seem to sompletely miss that every one of their goddamned jesus days was a pagan holiday before the conquistadors and missionaries decided they needed to subvert the pagans fromt heir traditional worship to worshipping christ.

so why get mad at people for celebrating Pagan traditions that the church itself appropriated for their own solar deity?

the answer here is not to erase paganism from history, but to stop stealing pagan traditions for the christian faith. and telling all christians to give up their holiest of pagan holidays (xmas, easter)

either find the dates christ actually was born and died, and have some evidence to back those claims, or STFU. because every holiday today was once a pagan celebration.

Indeed... Easter always amused me... First Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. Yeah. That's Christian.
