I feel your pain....I have to put the top down in my Beetle to get my kid in and out of the car seat.

Been there, done that. It gets a little old, doesn't it.

FYI - Combi makes a fantastic car seat that fits Beetles and Golf hatchbacks very well.

So sad! :( We almost had to get rid of my Rabbit, but luckily I managed to wedge a rear-facing toddler seat in the middle of the backseat. My husband refuses to climb in and out of the backseat to get the kid in/out, but I'm willing to twist myself into unnatural positions to keep my two-doored wonder hatch.

What are you replacing the Jetta with?

We moved up to a mid 2000 Passat Wagon. It's still not the same, though.
