Total chaos and destruction!

Dear Torchwood Friendslist,

Something I've never understood:

In "Captain Jack Harkness" how and why does Owen know to find the piece to open the rift in Billis' office? Did Jack hide it inside that clock? Why?
Do they ever explain this in the episode?
When?
And whatever happened to Billis?

OMG QUESTIONS.

is toshiko your woman?, halp!

Bilis shows up again in the book "Twilight Streets" so I think he just took off when everyone else was a bit preoccupied with Abbadon.

By the way, I LOVED Bilis. If ever a villain should come back...

ARGH, I 100% agree!

What a creeper! His voice, his bug-eyed stare. Gives me the willies!
And what irks me is that they never explained (or really even inquired upon) the nature of his time-travelling abilities, his knowledge of Abbadon, anything.
What for now is a gaping plot hole could very well be a tie-in later!

"Twilight Streets" had something where Bilis vaguely mentioned having made some sort of deal to gain his abilities. But now he regrets having made the bargain because it somehow leaves him in the servitude of others.

And yes, perhaps I wrote a quasi-fic about it because I love Bilis in all his creep-tastic-ness.

I have decided that you will know the answer when discover why Gray refers to "Jack Harkness" as "Jack"....

Or just that Jack is evil and behind everything sinister on Torchwood and he wanted Owen, Tosh, or maybe Gwen to die by trying to get the piece out of Billis' office.

Billis then went home and cried. He loved his pet Abaddon.
