You can't just...let her out, what if she runs off?

[Which was his exact fear--Galina running off and not coming back. He'd grown quite attached to her. Enough to prop himself up in worry on his good elbow.]

Go find her... [But he still didn't have the strength to truly demand anything, and with another sigh he let his head hit the pillow again, miserable.]

[Volgin had forgotten that very likely, the dog was not trained like his own hounds had been and would not be coming back when sent out. [Ivan had tried to train her, but the farthest he had gotten was to teach her to follow him under most circumstances, and to "attack" on command. She never did attack though, but sometimes she'd actually manage a growl before suckering up for pets.]

You better... [He mumbled, closing his heavy eyes.]

[Meanwhile, Galina was running around the Nexus like, well, a dog without a leash.]
