I've never played Makin' Magic, but this is so AWESOME. I love the atmosphere, it reminds me of that Unleashed downtown thingy...

Bravo! I've been trying to do something similar but I congratulate for actually going for it. I totally missed Magic Town and Superstar in Sims 1.
