I think I'm losing my voice. I try to talk, and all that comes out is this wierd, raspy sound. It's kinda funny... :p

The headline today was "Goodbye, Torin". The Olympics are officially over. Can I cry now? The Closing Ceremonies were truly spectacular though. Those floating acrobats were incredible. The Torino games were great. Full of ( Read more... )

*I saw your comment in Dakota's journal about this entry and had to come read it, lol*
I would've cried over the closing ceremonies, too, except that Ricky what's-his-name who sang last was really disgusting and took away any sentimental feeling I might've been having! =P heh.
Speed skating was a highlight for me this time - Ohno, Cheek, Davis, etc. And figure skating...though I liked Slutskaya better than Cohen, my unpatriotic self, I s'pose. ;)
I can't wait for next time either - and Vancouver is only a few hours from me, which makes me want to go....I wonder how much it costs.

yeah i didn't enjoy Ricky Martin very much either. Andrea Boccelli was incredible though. He's so amazing.

I like Slutskaya and Cohen both... I would have been equally happy for either one of them to have gotten the gold.
And I'm "unpatriotic" too - I liked Evgeny Plushenko so much better than the American skaters. lol (even though Johnny Weir is from the town I live in. oh well). Evan Lysacek was awesome though.

OOH, I would be so jealous if you went to Vancouver. That would be awesome. That's one of my goals someday - I want to go to see an Olympic event.

Boccelli reminds me of Josh Groban a little bit - amazing voice.

Plushenko was probably my favorite, too. Weir is from your hometown? Are you sure you're not a fan? hehe. ;)

I'm checking prices right this minute...grr, it says prices aren't available yet. Ah well.

Yeah. Boccelli reminds me of Josh a little too... But I like Josh's voice a lot better. It's more polished. Josh's voice is like milk chocolate-- smooth. Boccelli's is a little more like dark chocolate - a little less polish.

Yep. Weir is from my hometown, and still trains like 45 min. from my house. So for that reason, I'm a fan. But I think he's stuck up still.
