I live across Columbus, several streets away, and we've had 4 or 5 new garages in 10 years around here. It drives people with cars crazy; parking is terrible in North Beach, and one parking garage, big enough for one car, takes up three cars worth of parking space due to the curb cuts & red zones. That's serious around here. I hear it costs a lot to get a permit for a garage, and I'm not sympathetic about it.
I know where Varennes hill is - I can't imagine a car being able to get in and out of a garage there, it's too narrow. My car might be able to do it, but my car is small.
